Jan Baggarly’s Santa’s Whiskers

Jan is a retired County Extension agent (with *lots* of food demonstration experience!) was kind enough to share with us a family favorite, a Christmas-y Cherry Cheesecake, or as they call it: “Santa’s Whiskers!” So yummy, and Jan has all the pro-tips on how to perfect it!

Ingredients:

1 frozen pie crust (prepared according to package directions, 8oz cream cheese softened (1/3 less-fat works well!), 1/2 container whipped topping (thawed) - more for garnish, 1 cup confectioner’s sugar (sifted), 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp almond extract (can reduce to 1/4 if preferred), 1 can cherry pie filling (can use “reduced sugar,” makes no difference!)
